We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in engaging activities regardless of their background or health status. That's why we offer inclusive programs designed to ensure everyone feels comfortable, engaged and confident.
Our expert team is dedicated to helping participants develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment. We offer services that are as flexible and varied as our users, ranging from sports coaching and activities, through to functional skills tutoring and 1:1 mentoring. We really do offer something for everyone.
Meet the Team
Martin King
Director & Head of Sports Coaching and Physical Wellbeing
Martin is our Sports Coaching and Development Lead. As well as delivering sports coaching, Martin can be found at our group sessions and undertakes LSA and mentoring activities, providing additional support and guidance to participants.
He specialises in multi-skills development for children (often referred to as Multi Sports) and coaching football for all ages and ability levels. Martin’s role is to develop and deliver sporting sessions that are fun, engaging, and support the physical and developmental needs of the individuals attending.
Martin’s coaching philosophy is focused on increasing learning and participation through engaging, participant-focused activities — no boring drills and lots of games!

Martin has been coaching those with additional needs for over 7 years.
In 2020 he was recognised as the Surrey FA Grassroots Coach of the Year!
Martin is a committee member and coaches at a local pan disability football club where he coaches both the u8s and u12s teams.
He also serves as the chair at the Surrey Football For All League and Disability Ambassador for the Surrey Football Association.
Martin has a strong interest in health and nutrition and can often be found researching and practicing the principles of a healthy body and mind.
Martin is the dad of 2 boys with SEND, which is what motivates him to provide activities that are fully inclusive for all.
Rachel King
Director & Head of Education
and Welfare
Rachel is our Education and Welfare Lead. She ensures that all the activities we run for children are both fun and supportive of their development, while also meeting the highest standards of safety. Parents and carers can feel confident that their young people are having an enjoyable and secure experience while in our care.
As well as her lead role, Rachel can also be found at of our group sessions and undertakes tutoring and mentoring activities, offering additional support and guidance to young people.
Rachel believes play-based learning underpins all aspects of a child’s development, from creativity through to communication and problem-solving skills. With a little help, play can unlock a world of potential in all children!

Rachel is a qualified teacher and has over 10 years experience in education and training.
Rachel is a committee member and qualified welfare officer at a local pan disability football club where she helps to ensure the safety of around 100 players.
Rachel also coaches at a local pan disability football club where he coaches both the u8s and u12s teams.
Rachel loves cooking and enjoys experimenting with new recipes and flavours, using food as a way to support a healthy lifestyle.
Rachel is the mum of 2 boys with SEND, which is what motivates her to provide activities that are fully inclusive for all.
Zoe Barnes
PMActive Youth Services
Team Manager
Zoe is our Youth Activities Lead. She undertakes 1:1 mentoring, sports coaching and supports the running of our youth clubs. Helping to ensure activities are enjoyable, inclusive, and well organised.
With 8 years of experience coaching children’s athletics, Zoe also has a strong background in running and hosting community events, including birthday parties.
Zoe’s role is all about creating a positive, welcoming environment where young people can get active, build confidence, and enjoy being part of a group.
Zoe's approach is simple: activities should be fun. Zoe focuses on making sessions enjoyable, inclusive, and engaging so everyone leaves with a smile and a great experience.

Zoe has coached children’s athletics for over 8 years.
Zoe is an avid animal lover and has a number of pets, including horses, guinea pigs, cats, and a dog called Buddy, who regularly visits our Youth Club.
Zoe’s love of animals has led to an interest in the benefits of animal-assisted interventions
Zoe is the mum of two children, one of whom has SEND; they love to be active too.
Zoe has officially become a 'football mum' meaning through her children she is involved in someway with football nearly everyday of the week!
Luke Taylor
PMActive Community Activator Coach
Luke has recently begun his Level 2 Community Activator Coach apprenticeship, developing the skills to inspire and engage young people through sport and physical activity. He’s passionate about promoting health, wellbeing, and participation, and is already proving to be a great fit, helping to deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging sessions for everyone.
Luke's work at PMActive centres around our group sessions and holiday clubs, supporting young people to get involved, build confidence, and enjoy being active.
He has lived experience of neurodivergence, which helps him identify how best to create inclusive, supportive spaces where all children feel understood, valued, and able to thrive.

Luke is a proud player for the East Surrey Hawks, a local pan-disability football club where he has played since he was 13 years old.
He’s passionate about making sport and play welcoming to everyone, no matter their background or ability.
