Parent Wellbeing
At PMActive, we are dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of parents and carers by creating opportunities to connect, recharge, and stay active. Our Parent Wellbeing programme offers a range of activities designed to promote both physical and mental health.
Social Saturdays
Social Saturdays are relaxed weekend sessions for young people aged 13–18, creating a safe and welcoming space to get out, be social, and spend time with others in a way that feels comfortable and enjoyable.
We know that socialising is an important rite of passage during the teenage years — a chance to build friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging. However, for some young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), these opportunities can be limited or harder to access.
Social Saturdays are designed to help bridge that gap, providing inclusive experiences where young people feel welcome whilst still being supported by the friendly PMActive team. Sessions are friendly, flexible, and pressure-free. There’s no expectation to “fit in” — just space to be yourself.
We aim to run Social Saturdays on a monthly basis and are always looking for new and exciting opportunities to keep sessions fresh and engaging. If you have ideas, suggestions, or would like to collaborate, we’d love to hear from you.
Through shared activities and positive social experiences, Social Saturdays support young people to develop social skills, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful connections. Most importantly, the sessions provide a place to feel included, valued, and part of a community — because everyone deserves the chance to enjoy being young and social.
